Laurie F. Masotto attended the University of California at Irvine where she received her undergraduate degree in Social Ecology, with a specialization in Criminal Law. Laurie then attended and obtained her J.D. from California Western School of Law in San Diego, California. Laurie first came to Peters & Freedman L.L.P. as a law student and has been representing homeowners association for over 20 years.
Laurie works closely to build strong relationships with her managers and board members providing general council, daily advice of counsel, attending and leading board meetings and member meetings, and trial work. She is enjoys teaching and advocating for her managers, board members, and community association partners. Laurie has a great sense of community spirit and enjoys speaking to community organizations, such as realtor focus groups, on legal topics involving common interest developments. Laurie handles the submittal process for obtaining Fair Housing Administration (FHA) approval for clients.
She is an active member and volunteer of the Community Associations Institute (CAI) San Diego, Orange County and Coachella Valley chapters. Laurie is also a member of the San Diego County Bar Association and Desert Bar Association. Laurie enjoys supporting and volunteering for various non-profits and charities, such as those benefitting the homeless, children’s charities, church activities, local Little League baseball, and Boy Scouts of America.
